There have been a lot of great photo-ops during Bush's recent trip to Africa, but this one caught the Sartorial Senator's eye. I have no doubt that these Bush Tube-Tops will sell like hotcakes at NASCAR events across the US.
The Sartorial Senator thinks this is a genius ploy to boost low approval ratings...associate yourself with something everybody loves: boobs!

A few more photos that caught the eye of the Sartorial Senator from President George Bush's tour-de-force of Latin America. I have long wondered where Cosby got all those sweaters during the 1980's, and the answer, as I found out, is Guatemala. Interesting thing is, since the passage of NAFTA, the Guatemalans have gotten much more demanding and now insist upon only the finest heads of American lettuce in trade. (Sorry Cosby, no more Pudding Cups). This would explain Bush's carting of lettuce amongst his fellow Mayan's. (Shout out to my Mayan peeps of the Guatamalan highlands...the Kiche, Mam, Poqomam, Kaqchikel, Ixil, Q'egchi, Tz'utujil and Jakaltek.) While he lugged crate after crate with his new friends in their finest Sunday sweaters from Wal-Mart, Bush touted the virtues of free trade and his compassion for the human condition in Latin America. If any of you dare suggest that this was a staged photo-op I will slap you. P.s. If you doubt me, check it out yourself, the Walton family is spreading their love in Guatemala now.
In other news Bush looks like he has fallen off the wagon again. I don't know what else there is to say about this. All in all, looks like things have not gone this well since "Mana En Vivo" tour of '94.
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, pictured right serenading the White

gotten himself into some hot water with the firing of eight US
Attorneys. Whats the big deal if these appointments are at the
discretion of the Executive? Well, it doesn't help matters that
Gonzales stated in January that he, "would never, ever make a change in
a United States attorney for political reasons." It also doesn't help
that Gonzales has seemingly lied about the political motivations for the firings. I think we have to give Alberto "I love the Geneva Convention" Gonzales some credit here. Almost Supreme Court Justice, Harriet Miers wanted to fire all 93 US Prosecutors. It would seem then that Gonzales was showing remarkable restraint by only firing eight. Many have called for his resignation, or firing. But the White House has been clear that they will not fire people simply based on Political interests....anymore. For his part, Gonzales has since admitted that "mistakes were made". Memo to the Bush administration: Enough with this "mistakes were made" crap. An apology in the passive voice does not count as an apology. Try this on for size: I MADE A MISTAKE!
Alright....my colleague has already posted similar pictures of Bush in a construction helmet but this one is clearly the best. If you are like me, and I am pretty sure most of you are, you continue to look for evidence of the President's continued use of recreational drugs. At the very least this would explain most of his cavalier behavior for the last 6 years, see symptoms of PCP
use. Well if you had any doubt, here is the ironclad proof we have all been looking for. Apparently, amidst receiving his glowing reception from all of Latin America, President Bush took the time to turn in
his court-mandated drug test. I don't know how he got it in the beaker, but apparently the old man is satisfied.
If the urine sample is not for drug testing, I fear that it may have only one other plausible explanation. That would explain why he is wearing his helmet again...
Vice President Dick Cheney (pictured left peeing in a bush) has had some recent brushes with the grim reaper. First, while Cheney traveled to Afghanistan, Air force II was grounded with electrical difficulties. Then last week Cheney was within earshot of a suicide bomb in Afghanistan that killed 23 people. Now Cheney has been diagnosed 
with a blood clot in his leg that would prove fatal if left untreated. Three brushes with death in less than two weeks, I think Cheney may have bigger problems than "Scooter" Libby. It might be time for Cheney to grow a beard or start wearing sweater vests. He needs to find a way to soften his image before he ends up with an ice pick sticking out of his head like some campy horror flick. Clearly Cheney has done something to piss off the man upstairs. By "the man upstairs" I, of course, mean Karl Rove.
Updating a post from earlier this week (that's right, I just linked to myself), I've noticed that in this picture of "lab coat" Bush there seems to be a gray toy car in the corner of the picture. What's the deal with this? I've developed three theories:
1) Bush so hates science, that the only way to lure him into a lab was with a toy that he could play with in between photo ops.
2) This picture actually was taken on the set of Disney's newest family comedy "Honey I Blew Up the 43rd President"
3) Bush is trying to decrease our dependency on foreign fuel. The only solution so far: make cars really really small.
Anyone who has an another theory please let me know.
Apparently Bush's presidency is so terminal that the Make a Wish foundation has fulfilled his life long dream of meeting Shaq. In actuality, Bush was congratulating the Miami Heat on their NBA championship. He, of course, drew parallels to the war in Iraq when he commended the Heat for their persistence, even when things looked bleak. Bush failed to mention, however, that a basketball arena isn't usually filled with sectarian violence... unless you're playing in Detroit. The only gaffe of an, otherwise, smooth event came when Bush attempted to dribble a basketball, but instead of bouncing like he expected, the ball landed with a thud. Isn't it great when the metaphors just smack you in the forehead? Watch the last 11 seconds of the video to see Bush drop the ball.
Although I took this photo from a NYT article from earlier in the week, I had to return to it because it had made such a lasting impact on my psyche. Upon first glance, I believed that I had stumbled across an epiphany. To my surprise I had discovered that the President had been jumping from body to body, setting the wrongs of the past right.... his only friend, a holographic image from the future named Al. To my chagrin, I believed he had assumed the body of some meager scientist in North Carolina. Finally relinquishing his grasp on the presidency and moving one step closer to returning to the future. Unfortunately, after reading the article, I discovered the George was just playing dress up again in big boy clothes. At least he is wearing his safety goggles..... P.s. In case George reads this, I am talking about Quantum Leap.
President Bush began cementing his legacy by posing with the first President George W. President Bush, of course, compared the troop surge in Iraq with the Revolutionary War, a dubious comparison until you realize that WE ARE THE IMPERIALISTS! After the photos Washington asked to be put back in his grave, apparently he had some serious spinning to do.
At least Bush finally seems to realize his best shot of ever gaining a positive historical legacy is to take pictures that thoroughly confuse what era he lived in. I propose a romp through history ala "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" so Bush can continue comparing his failed Presidency to past leaders. Up next, Ghengis Kahn:
